Client Onboarding Automation (Airtable Form)

Client Onboarding Automation (airtable)

This automation makes it easy for you to create, onboard, and manage new clients using Airtable forms.

This automation has 3 components.
1. Creating a new client record when an Airtable form is completed: duplicate the workspace here.
2. Adding the newly created client within Smartlead as a client
3. Creating a Google Drive folder (this serves as an idea, you can further expand on the capabilities)

I use a version of this to create Stripe customers, Slack channels, and more. Feel free to combine this automation with these automations: Clay client onboarding SOPs, Smartlead client onboarding SOPs

Manual Changes

Smartlead API Key

For the documented APIs, we'll use the regular key. Find it here and replace {API_KEY} with your Smartlead API key

Create a webhook

Create a webhook then copy the URL.

Add ?record_id={record_id} to the end of the URL. ex: https://hook.us1.make.com/1234464547
Would become: https://hook.us1.make.com/1234464547?record_id={record_id}

Go to the Airtable form and look for this section. Switch this with the URL you created.

Publish the form > then do a test run within make > then submit the form. You should get a message that looks something like this.

If this is done correctly, the make automation with get the data. If not, you may need to refresh the new page, as the make automation is set to run.

Disclaimer: this is one of MANY ways to accomplish the same task, if you want to change the trigger, then that's fine.

Expand The Automation

You may implement the Smartlead or Clay onboarding SOPs suggested here. You may also add other integrations such as Slack, Clickup, etc.
