Extension Privacy Policy

1.  Overview

The Afonto Chrome extension (“Afonto,” “we,” “our”) helps you organize your email inbox by creating labels and filters and automatically applying them to matching emails. We respect your privacy and collect only the information strictly necessary for the extension to function.

2.  Information We Access

  • Gmail access – label names & IDs, filters, message and thread IDs, and label assignments
  • Outlook access – folder names & IDs, message and thread IDs, and mail rules

We do not read your email bodies, attachments, or contact list.

3.  How We Use Your Information

We use the data solely to:

  • Create, rename, and delete (filters/rules | labels/folders) at your request
  • Move messages that match created filters/rules to the correct label/folder

4.  Where Information Is Stored

All Gmail/Outlook metadata is stored locally in your browser’s storage.
No copies are transmitted to, or retained on, our servers.

5.  Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your Gmail/Outlook data with third parties. Data is exchanged only between your browser and the API over encrypted HTTPS connections.

6.  Security

OAuth tokens are stored using Chrome’s built‑in identity service. All communication with Google services occurs over HTTPS to prevent interception.

7.  Your Choices & Control

You may revoke the extension’s access at any time by:

  • Uninstalling the Afonto extension, or
  • Visiting https://myaccount.google.com/permissions and removing “Afonto”
